If You Haven’t Been Getting Massage Therapy, You’re Really Missing Out

by | Sep 13, 2022 | Uncategorized

Okay, so if you’ve never had a professional massage in your life, let me start by saying: I’m sorry for you! I really mean it. You’ve been missing out on one of the most wonderful and relaxing experiences. I get it, though. I was a late bloomer to trying a massage myself. Why? I don’t know. For some reason I thought it wasn’t perhaps a “masculine” thing to do – that only women got them. Or maybe I was afraid of my body being judged by the therapist. All kinds of foolish reasons now that I think about it. Anyway, that was in the past and now I can’t wait to get my next massage.

Aside from being incredibly relaxing, massage therapy has real health benefits too. As your muscles and tissues are being massaged you will experience an increase in blood circulation to those areas. This improves oxygen delivery to the muscles that will help with faster recovery from exercise and reduce any soreness. Massage also assists in lymphatic drainage, which is important for elimination of toxins and improving immune function. While in a state of relaxation, the body’s stress hormones are reduced which in turn lead to a decrease in heart rate and blood pressure. You’ll end up feeling refreshed and happy. It’s just an all-around good thing, so why not try it?

Salted Desert is excited to announce that we will now be offering highly customized massage therapy services. Massage Therapist Deborah Solano has joined our team and brings over 20 years of experience working in high-end wellness spas throughout the Phoenix valley.
